Being comfortable with handling medical equipment:
- The daily administration of medications to patients, including both prescribed and non-prescribed medications, is a regular responsibility within the healthcare industry.
- Coordinate patient care and medication schedules by collaborating with different nurses to deliver comprehensive health services.
- Take into account the written or verbal orders provided on how to oversee your meds.
- Keep track of when you take your medication throughout the day so that you can ensure that you are taking them at the correct intervals.
- Monitor individuals and document any modifications in their physical state.
- When responding to a signal, proceed to the patient's location without delay to provide the necessary assistance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- It is mandatory for the candidate to have a Certified Medication Assistant (MAC) certification at a minimum
- A valid and current Medication Administration certificate issued by the state is expected
- Long-term care specialists must be knowledgeable about nursing and medical practices, alongside laws and regulations that govern and relate to their field
- For this particular requirement, the minimum age mandatory is twenty years
- Those seeking acceptance must demonstrate their grasp of the English language and their ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend it
